Clarington Town Hall to be lit blue in support of Ukraine

Clarington’s Town Hall will be lit in blue to reflect one of the colours of the Ukrainian flag as Mayor Adrian Foster and council have added their support to the people of Ukraine.

“On behalf of Council and the Municipality of Clarington, I want to make it clear that we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and all Ukrainian-Canadians in Ontario and Canada-wide watching the horrific events unfold in their home country,” Foster said in a statement. “We stand united with the global community condemning this unprovoked act of aggression that has sent tens of thousands of Ukrainians fleeing their homes in fear of their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine, their families and loved ones.”

“We call for peace and a swift end to the aggression.”
