Durham Police say they discovered cocaine in a car once they stopped it after a brief chase in Clarington.
Officers were out on patrol near Highway 115 and Concession Road 4 on Sept. 6 when they noticed a speeding Ford SUV.
The officers tried to stop the SUV but it continued to speed away. They managed to drive up along side the SUV in an attempt to identify the driver. When the driver saw them next to his car, he pulled over.
Once he was pulled over, the officers asked him for identification. The driver handed over a licence that did not belong to him.
The officers then searched the car and found drugs. However they did not specify how much. Both the driver and the passenger, both from Toronto, were arrested at the scene.
Eden Migisha, 23, is charged with;
- possession of cocaine for trafficking
- obstruction of justice
- possession of someone else’s ID, and
- two counts of suspended driving
Bruce Arakaza, 21, is charged with cocaine possession for trafficking.
BOth have since been released with conditions.
