Update: Police put out a tweet just after nine p.m. declaring that Olive Ave between Linden St and Harmony Rd in Oshawa is now open.

An ongoing collision investigation has shut down an intersection in Oshawa this evening (Sept. 7)

Durham Regional Police put out a tweet at 7: 04 p.m. stating, Olive Ave. between Linden St and Harmony Rd has been shut to vehicular traffic.

Police have not disclosed details regarding the collision, including the number of vehicles involved and any potential injuries, at this time.

Commuters and residents in the affected area are asked to choose alternate routes of travel.
