Collision investigation closes major intersection in Oshawa

UPDATE: ON the scene reports say a woman in her teens has taken to hospital after being struck by a van at Simcoe St. and Taunton Rd. tonight (Sept. 7)
Durham Police have only put out a tweet stating that the intersection at Taunton Rd and Simcoe St has been closed to vehicular traffic.
Police have not disclosed any details regarding the collision, including the number of vehicles involved and any potential injuries, at this time.
Commuters and residents in the area are asked to choose alternate routes of travel.
