Community complaints about drug trafficking in east Oshawa prompted Durham Police to launch an investigation, which resulted in the arrest of two people and a supply of methamphetamine and cocaine off the streets.

Police received the tips about possible drug trafficking in the area January 10 and began an investigation. Search warrants were executed February 1 at a home near Wilson Rd. S. and Bloor St. E. and police were able to seize a quantity of schedule 1 drugs and make the arrest.

A 61-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman – both of Oshawa – have each been charged with three counts of drug trafficking.
