Cops find $80,000 worth of drugs in Oshawa trafficking investigation

Durham Regional Police found $80,000 worth of drugs, a large wad of cash and a handgun in a drug trafficking investigation resulting in numerous charges against a man from Oshawa.

DRPS arrested a man in downtown Oshawa on May 20 on the suspicion he was selling drugs. When arrested police say the man was armed with a 15-round Sig Sauer pistol. Officers allege the man had a great deal of drugs on him at the time.

After the man’s arrest, police executed a search warrant at his Celina St home. They found $80,000 worth of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine in the raid. Investigators also seized the pistol, and $3,000 cash.

Mark McPherson, 36 of Oshawa, is charged with numerous offenses including; three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (one for each drug discovered), and possession of a restricted firearm. He will remain in custody until a bail hearing.
