A speeding car on a Pickering road didn’t even notice the parked police cruiser when it raced by on Wednesday (May 23).
Durham Regional Police allege the speeding vehicle was going 139 km/h on Taunton Road and Pickering Concession Road 4.
“A marked cruiser in plain view didn’t stop this motorist from travelling 139 km/h,” said DRPS in a social media post on X.
The driver of the vehicle was given five summons to appear before a judge, had their driving licence suspended and their vehicle was impounded.
Police added the driver of the vehicle also got a ride home from a family member.
