Cops seek suspect after car hits pedestrian, flees

Police appeal for witnesses after a hit and run in downtown Oshawa.

Police are on the lookout for a car that struck a pedestrian in Oshawa and fled the scene before officers could arrive back in February.

Around 1:30 p.m. February 2 a car struck a pedestrian Charles St and Athol St E, next to the Tribute Community Centre. The car fled from the scene and has not been found.

Surveillance video recorded the car which police describe as “an older model red vehicle with black rims and tinted windows.”

Investigators know of witnesses in the area at the time of the collision and are calling on them to come forward with an information they may have.
