Anthony Raoet of Courtice going west after winning the top prize of $350,000 in his go-to game, INSTANT CROSSWORD EXTREME.

Raoet, a 45 year-old father of three, said the CROSSWORD is his go-to game. He also enjoys playing DAILY KENO and buys LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 when the jackpots are high.

The personal support worker was shopping at the mall when he decided to sit down, have a drink, and play his ticket. “At first, I thought I had won $500,” he recounted while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall.

He soon discovered his win was much greater than that and shared the good news with his wife and daughter. “They were so excited for me. My daughter asked for a car!” he laughed. “I told my kids, ‘You guys are lucky that I got lucky!’”

With his winnings, Raoet plans to travel out west with his family and relax before school starts. He will also invest and plan for his future. “I feel laid back,” he smiled. “I want to make sure my kids are secure and taken care of.”

INSTANT CROSSWORD EXTREME is available for $30 a play and the top prize is $350,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.42.

The winning ticket was purchased at Gateway Newstands on King Street in Oshawa.
