Courtice teen charged with stabbing brother

An 18-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his teenaged brother at a residence in Courtice last night.

Durham Police East Division officers responded to a residence near Bloor Street East and Townline Road South for a disturbance around 11 pm Tuesday night. Officers located a teenaged man with serious but non life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

His 18 year-old brother was arrested and is charged with Weapons Dangerous and Assault with a Weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
