COVID-19 cases remain high in Durham; 30 reported Wednesday in Oshawa

New COVID-19 cases remain high in Durham Region this week with 104 new cases reported Wednesday, including 30 in Oshawa.

The active case count is also climbing and now is at 416.

Pickering and Whitby reported 18 new cases each yesterday while Clarington reported 15.

Other numbers are a bit more promising. There are 17 people in hospital with two in ICU and there has been just one death reported in the past seven days. Outbreaks in retirement homes remain at four, with only four residents isolating.
