Oshawa’s newest craft beer and cocktail house – and the first with dedicated karaoke rooms – is open in time for the holiday season, with the Torchbearer Taproom opening its doors December 5.

The Torchbearer Taproom (785 Taunton Rd. E at Harmony Road) is north Oshawa’s new destination for enthusiasts of crafted cocktails, a rotating selection of craft beer, wine and karaoke, with its private karaoke rooms ready to unleash your inner rock stars available to rent.

Craft beer, wine and flights with a side of karaoke, you could say.

The brand-new pub is the ultimate spot for your next hangout with killer drinks – you can elevate your experience with beer and wine flights – crave-worthy snacks and its uniquely themed karaoke rooms.

Patrons are already raving about the atmosphere (with couches and board games and even colouring books for the kids for more casual hangouts) and the cocktails (and mocktails) to satisfy most tastes.

Events like trivia nights, cookies and beer pairings and a Christmas movie night are on tap, with a Karaoke Night planned for New Year’s Eve.

The Torchbearer Taproom is open 3-10 Tuesday and Wednesday, 3-11 Thursday, Noon to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and Noon to 6 on Sunday. The pub is closed Monday.
