Drivers heading west towards Toronto on Highway 401 are being warned of lane closures as police investigate a death.
In a social media post on Sunday afternoon, the OPP said the westbound lanes of Highway 401 between Salem Road and Westney Road near Harwood Avenue are closed due to a “sudden death” investigation.
The eastbound lanes remain open, the OPP added.
Officials have not provided details about the incident and it is unclear how long the westbound lanes will remain closed.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes until further notice.
More information will be shared as it becomes available.
