Donevan in Oshawa to be closed for two-plus weeks; pool to be shut until early August

Donevan Recreation Complex will be closed for several weeks for roof repair while the popular pool will be off limits to the public until at least July 31.

The roof repair work is expected to begin July 1 and be completed by July 17, though weather might impact the timeline. The scheduled pool maintenance project will force the closure of popular swimming pool for an extra two weeks, with re-opening expected during the first week of August.

All parties affected by the upcoming closure, including those who have booked facility rentals, summer camps, swimming lessons, and other programs, have been informed and relocated to alternate Oshawa recreation facilities.
