If you think you have contracted COVID-19 over the holidays, there are dozens of testing locations around Durham Region where you can find out for sure.

Most are open throughout the holidays (except for New Year’s Day), with varying hours. All are by appointment only, so call or visit the clinic websites to get set up.

The clinics will test people with symptoms, exposure, or people in certain groups without symptoms or exposure.

There are several Lakeridge Health-run sites in Pickering, Bowmanville, Oshawa and Sunderland available (the website is www.covidswab.lh.ca), there’s a clinic in Port Perry run by a local health care centre (www.northdurhamCOVID.com), and several dozen clinics at local pharmacies in nearly every community in Durham, split fairly evenly between Shopper’s Drug Mart and independent drug stores.

At some locations, take-home self-collection kits may be available for pick up and drop off without an appointment (call or visit their website to confirm kits are in stock)

Visit https://covid-19.ontario.ca/assessment-centre-locations to find a clinic in your area, its hours of operation and any other information you may need.
