An unidentified man is wanted in Pickering after he shot at another car following a dispute in a Tim Hortons drive-through.

The dispute began at the Tim Hortons at Toy Avenue and Bayly Street around 6:30 this morning. The area is a fairly busy commercial zone just south of Highway 401.

The victim was in the parking lot when a car honked behind her. She quickly left the area and headed down Bayly Street but soon noticed the car that had honked was following her.

She then signalled to turn into the Pickering GO station to get away from the other car. However, the other driver caught up to her. According to police, the suspect pulled up next to her and threw a coffee at her car. He then drove away.

The victim continued west on Bayly Street. However, the other car pulled a U-turn and started following her again. He caught up to her in Liverpool Road and fired a gun at her car, according to police. The shot shattered the woman’s driver’s side window and caused minor injuries.

Investigators describe the shooter as a Black man in a black Jaguar SUV.
