A man has been charged in connection with a four-vehicle collision in Oshawa this past June that left two people seriously injured.

On Friday, (June 21) Durham Regional Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Ritson Road, just north of Wildflower Court, shortly before 4 p.m.

A green GMC pickup truck travelling southbound lost control and collided with a black Buick Vera, which was also heading south. The vehicle then hit two northbound vehicles, a grey Toyota RAV4 and a grey Jeep, police say.

The GMC pickup truck subsequently rolled onto its side, causing significant damage to the two northbound vehicles.

The driver of the pickup truck, an 18-year-old man, was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials confirmed that two other drivers —didn’t specify from which vehicles—suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

Graeme Day, 18, of Oshawa, is facing two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.  He has been released on an undertaking.

Anyone with information about this incident or who witnessed this collision is asked to call D/Cst Dalgetty at 905-579-1520 ext. 5217 (toll-free 1-888-579-1520).
