Drug raids across the GTA result in charges for four, including Whitby man

Several drug raids across the GTA have resulted in charges for four men, including one from Whitby.

York Regional Police investigated a suspected drug trafficking ring between January and  March. They ended up raiding five humes in York, Durham Region and Toronto. These raids found several drugs and weapons including;

  • two kilograms of cocaine,
  • 34 kilograms of cannabis,
  • 263 grams of MDMA,
  • 900 millilitres of codeine,
  • a loaded pistol with additional ammunition,
  • two conducted energy weapons (tasers) and,
  • brass knuckles

The raids also resulted in the arrest of four men in including;

  • Noah Bozzo, 18, of Richmond Hill (four charges)
  • Jack Holman, 22, of Toronto (six charges)
  • Alexander Khatra, 27, of Toronto, (three charges) and
  • Ragavan Rarvinthiran, 28, of Whitby (eight charges)

Each has been charged with two or more counts of drug trafficking charges. Bozzo, Khatra and Rarvinthiran also face weapon possession charges. Holman was also on house arrest during the raid, while Rarvinthiran is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Rarvinthiran is the one who allegedly had the pistol.
