Durham cops, OPP team up to take down carjacker on Highway 401 in Ajax

Westbound lanes through Ajax were shutdown briefly Sunday evening for a takedown of an alleged carjacker.
At least twenty vehicles from Durham Police uniformed officers and the tactical squad – as well as the OPP – were involved in the successful takedown near the Salem Road exit. One suspect is in custody.
OPP is now in charge of the investigation.
