Durham Police hosting update on major firearms and drugs investigation in Whitby

A gun and drugs investigation that has led to 174 criminal charges and 30 arrests in Durham Region and the GTA will get an update this morning, with Durham Police Chief Peter Moreira holding a press conference in Whitby Thursday morning.
Moreira will be joined by Det. Sal Naccarato at the Project Burton news conference, which will be held at 10 a.m. at the DRPS Education and Training Centre on Victoria Street.
Durham Police worked with the OPP, Toronto Police and Criminal Intelligence Services Ontario on the multi-jurisdictional investigation into firearms and drugs.
