Durham Police recover excavator, mobile home stolen in Uxbridge

Two Uxbridge men were arrested – with one still in custody – and a third is on the run after investigators tracked down a stolen excavator and mobile home that were stolen over the past two months.
Members of Durham Regional Police’s North Division Criminal Investigations Bureau were investigating thefts of equipment in April and May of this year when they executed a search warrant at an address on Uxbridge Concession Road 2.
Police seized an excavator, construction tools and a RV with a value of approximately $100,000.
Police arrested two suspects during the execution of the search warrant and are looking for a third suspect.
Eric Gregory, 41 of Uxbridge, is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 x2; Break and Enter; Theft Over $5,000 and Fail to Comply. He was held for a bail hearing.
Wayne Steele, also 41, is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 x2. He was released on an Undertaking.
