Durham Region reports 21 new COVID-19 cases – nine from Whitby

Twenty-one new COVID-19 cases were reported in Durham Region Thursday, with almost half – nine – coming from Whitby.

Oshawa reported five new cases while Clarington reported zero and in fact has no active cases of the virus. There are 94 active cases in Durham.

There is only resident in long term care homes still isolating and just two students still home self-isolating in Durham Region schools. There are no details provided on the one workplace outbreak lingering in the region, other than that it is in the manufacturing sector.

Fully vaccinated residents 12 and over in Durham Region is now at 82.1 per cent.
