Durham reports 26 new COVID-19 cases, eight from Pickering

Durham Region reported 26 new COVID-19 cases Monday, up from the previous day’s reported total of 15 but done from the region’s seven-day average of 31.

Pickering reported eight new cases, while Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa reported five each. Clarington had three new cases, with one resident in hospital. Uxbridge, Scugog and Brock each reported zero cases.

There are 176 active cases of the virus in Durham Region.

Seventy-eight per cent of the 12-plus population in Durham is now fully vaccinated.
