Fire and Emergency Services in Durham Region and Kawartha Lakes have partnered with Enbridge Gas on their annual campaign to promote spring and summer safety tips on local radio stations.
From May 3 to June 29, radio ads featuring representatives from Enbridge Gas and a team of public educators from local fire departments will promote the warm weather safety tips on four Durham radio stations.
This year’s campaign is supported by fire and emergency departments from Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Clarington, Brock, Scugog, Uxbridge and Kawartha Lakes.
“We are proud to participate in the annual Spring into Summer safety campaign,” said Pickering Fire Chief Steve Boyd. “Through this partnership, we’re sharing critical fire safety tips to keep community members safe and informed during a time of year when there’s typically an increase in fire-related emergencies.”
The radio ads will promote fire safety messages to Durham Region residents, as well as to surrounding communities in Ontario.
Steve McGivery, the Director of Operations Strategy & Transformation at Enbridge Gas, said the utility “values the leadership” of fire and emergency services in Durham. “At Enbridge Gas, safety underpins everything we do,” he noted. “We’re proud to support these efforts.”
