Five charged after grow-op discovered in Uxbridge

Five men, including four from Uxbridge, are facing charges after police discovered an illegal grow-op on a rural property in Uxbridge Township.

Officers from Durham Police’s Drug Enforcement Unit along with the Gun and Gang Unit executed a search warrant on Regional Road 1 after receiving information that several hundred cannabis plants were being grown on the property.

As a result of the search warrant, officers seized 291 large cannabis plants and five men were taken into custody.

Artur Zhevner, 27, Stas Mansyvoda, 30, Artem Kotenko, 27, and Jevgenijs Zorins, 38, all of Uxbridge; and David Cox, 35, of Scarborough were all charged with unauthorized production of cannabis and possess illicit cannabis.

All parties were released on an Undertaking.
