Foodie alert: Halal Food Tour ‘Night Market’ coming to Ajax this weekend

Calling all foodies!

The third annual Halal Food Tour ‘Night Market’ returns to the Ajax GO Station parking lot this weekend, with at least 15 food trucks serving up everything from donairs, Indian street food and ribs to decadent (and fun) desserts and chai tea, as well as carnival games and Disney characters for the kids, live music and more.

Six Spice Rack

The Halal Food Tour is visiting six cities this year, with the Ajax event happening from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.

The event brings in thousand of hungry customers for each of the weekends and the patrons in Ajax will also enjoy music from Oud, Anna, Elsa and the Jannah Family, with Arab-Canadian artist Ali Soulful as the MC.

Heirloom Desserts

The festival will also feature a farmers market to support local businesses.

The festival, which kicked off last weekend in Mississauga, will feature plenty of food vendors, including Kathi Roll Express, New York Sliders and Caiwala of London.

Northern Smokes

The tour moves to Cambridge May 17-19, Scarborough Town Centre May 24-26, Milton GO Station May 31-June 2 and Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre June 8-9.

Admission is free but registration is required. Registering for a weekend pass grants you full access to the event grounds. Only one pass is needed for your entire group.
