Four suspects wanted following attempted carjacking in Ajax: Police

Police say four suspects are at large following an alleged attempted carjacking in Ajax.

Durham police say that shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, a male victim was approached by a man at a Petro Canada in the Dundas Street West and Lake Ridge Road area who allegedly demanded his keys. Police allege the victim was pushed to the ground, but all four suspects fled and were unable to take his vehicle.

Police say the victim drives an electric BMW.

According to police, the suspects fled in a vehicle and the victim was not physically injured.

The first two suspects are described as Black and white males between 20 and 30 years of age who were wearing dark clothing. One was reportedly wearing a black mask and black baseball hat. The other suspects are described as males between 20 and 30 years of age who were wearing black clothing.

Investigators ask anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam footage, to contact D/Cst. Reeves of the Major Crimes – Robbery Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1825.
