Four teenagers are wanted after a fifth was assaulted and almost robbed in Pickering.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on July 20, four boys confronted a fifth outside a coffee shop near Kingston Road and Liverpool Road. The area is a major entrance to Pickering from Highway 401 and home to the Pickering Town Centre and a great many businesses. The police did not specify which business this incident occurred in front of.

The quartet cornered the victim, demanding his clothes and shoes. When he refused the group violently attacked the boy, police say. The four then fled the scene before police could arrive. The victim sustained serious injuries though they are not life-threatening. He was treated in a local hospital.

All four suspects are described as Black males between 16 to 20 years old. The first suspect is five-foot-eleven with dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue sweater and black jeans.

The second was about five-foot-six and wore a ski mask, camouflage sweater with a hood, and black jeans. The third was around five-foot-seven. Finally the fourth suspect was about five-foot-seven. Police did not provide a more fulsome description of the fourth suspect.
