Garbage facilities adjust hours for the holiday season in Durham

Christmas is just days away, and residents in Durham are being advised of holiday hours and temporary changes to garbage and recycling services at select facilities.
The following schedule will be in effect:
- Dec. 23 – Closed (as usual on Mondays)
- Dec. 24 – Closed
- Dec. 25 – Closed
- Dec. 26 – Closed
- Dec. 27 – Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Dec. 28 – Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Dec. 29 – Closed (as usual on Sundays)
- Dec. 30 – Closed (as usual on Mondays)
- Dec. 31 – Open
- Jan. 1 – Closed
- Jan. 2 – Regular hours resume
The revised hours apply to the following facilities:
- Oshawa Waste Management Facility— 1640 Ritson Rd. N., Oshawa
- Scugog Waste Management Facility— 1623 Reach St., Port Perry
- Brock Waste Management Facility— C22480 Brock Sideroad 17, Cannington
- Clarington Household Special Waste Depot—1998 Bowmanville Ave., Bowmanville
