Baby food giant Gerber has selected a smiley baby boy from Whitby to be their 2023 “spokesbaby”.

After a national casting call, Nyles Henry was chosen to represent the brand for the year as “spokesbaby” and Chief Growing Officer. The position went to the winner of Gerber’s annual Photo Search.

Henry just turned one year old in January and has already grown into quite a traveller after visiting eight countries. In his travels, Henry has become known as “The Smiliest Baby.” However, his favorite place is still his grandparent’s house for ice cream.

“We know Nyles will do an extraordinary job in his new as the CGO with his captivating smile and personality,” Gerber said. Henry is the first Black boy to win the competition for spokesbaby. A Black girl won two years ago.

“In his spare time, he loves to go to his local library and read books about diversity and dinosaurs! Nyles is also an aspiring musician and loves to play drums with his dad,” Gerber said, “Nyles brings a smile to people’s faces everywhere he goes, with his cute dimples, and funny facial expressions. We’re so excited to see Nyles embrace his new role.”
