Update: ‘Hold and Secure” at Glengrove PS in Pickering lifted; police still investigating

The lockdown at Glengrove Public School in Pickering has been lifted, though Durham Police say the investigation is still ongoing.

No details as to the investigation have been released, though police say more information will follow. The school is located on Glengrove Road in the Liverpool Road-Kingston Road area, just minutes north of the city’s downtown.

Police say students and staff are currently safe. Residents are asked to avoid the area.
