Gold Point Wildlife Reserve in Oshawa set for lengthy closure

Construction at Gold Point Wildlife Reserve in Oshawa will close down the site until next summer.

The City of Oshawa is carrying out the construction which will see work on accessible pathways and interpretive nodes as well as the creation of  a butterfly garden and restorative plantings.

The work is expected to begin this month with a re-opening planned for the summer of 2023.

With the closure the reserve will be fenced off for the construction work.

As well, residents in the surrounding areas have been notified that heavy equippment will need to access the site from time-to-time from Stevenson Rd. S. and that increased noise levels will occur during these times.
