Gun and $115,000 in cocaine found in Ajax raid

A pair of police raids in Ajax led to the alleged discovery of a pistol and $115,000 worth of drugs.

The Durham Regional Police Guns and Gangs unit had been investigating a suspect for some time. They moved to arrest the man on Aug. 29 as he went 0from one Ajax home to another. The officers raided both homes following the arrest.

Inside one of the homes, police claim they found the cocaine, a handgun, multiple rounds of ammunition and an extended magazine. They also arrested another two people in connection to the raids.

Noel Diatta and Lukas Bahile, both 38 of Ajax, as well as Kimara Kailan, 24 0f Ajax, have collectively been charged with a variety of offences for gun and drug possession. Diatta and Bahile have also been charged with possession against a court order. Kailan was released from custody with conditions but Diatta and Bahile remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
