Guns, drugs discovered during Oshawa traffic stop

Two people face a slew of charges after a gun and some drugs were discovered during a traffic stop in Oshawa Sunday evening

A Central West Division officer conducted the stop just before eight p.m., where the driver was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.

A search of the vehicle revealed the firearm and a large quantity of narcotics, including 134.5 grams of Crystal Meth, 19.8 grams of Cocaine, 14.6 grams of Crack Cocaine, 51 grams of Fentanyl, 21 pills of Codeine Tech 3, 90 Clonazepan pills, 100 grams of Benzocaine and 10.7 grams of Cannabis.

Elisha McFarlane, 32, of Ajax faces numerous firearm and seven drug charges. Amanda Ashby, 41, of no fixed address, also faces numerous firearm and six drug.

Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
