The unique entertainment experience that is the Harlem Globetrotters is returning to Oshawa and the Tribute Communities Centre next month.

The ‘Spread Game Tour’ kicked off last month with ball spinning that defies gravity, innovative dunks and new on-court characters and the show will be here in the Motor City on March 10.

The 2022 tour is all about honoring the late and great Curly Neal, who played more than 6,000 games over 22 seasons for the Globetrotters. Neal died March 26, 2020 at the age of 77.

The World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters have been entertaining fans for nearly 100 years and their newly re-imagined Spread Game Tour is described as a basketball event “like no other” with “ankle-breaking moves, jaw-dropping swag, and rim-rattling dunks” that is part streetball from the players who defined it, and part interactive family entertainment.

Oshawa’s show will have new premium fan experiences with unprecedented access and interaction, including celebrity court passes, meet and greets with players, and the #SQUADZONE, where fans have the opportunity to feel like part of the show.

The roster is ever-changing, but this year includes showmen like Hammer Harrison, Thunder Law and Bulldog Mack; as well as Hot Shot Swanson, Torch George (one of two women on the squad), Too Tall Winston, Primetime Moore and Sweet Lou Dunbar II, the son of Globetrotter legend Sweet Lou, who also happens to be the team’s coach.

The event date arrives four days before the Province returns all indoor events to 100 per cent capacity, but a spokesman for the Tribute Communities Centre said the event promoter is prepared to go ahead with 50 per cent capacity restrictions.

“If anything is to change, ticketholders and our website will be updated with information.”

Tickets range from $31.75 to $137.75. For more information and to buy tickets, go to https://www.tributecommunitiescentre.com/events/detail/harlem-globetrotters-2022
