Oshawa is holding a Shape Oshawa Open House at the Oshawa Centre May 1 with public feedback wanted on several City projects and initiatives.

As an extra incentive, the City will be awarding ten $25 Oshawa Centre gift cards for filling out feedback forms with thoughts on the future projects.

The Shape Oshawa Open House will be in front of the Old Navy store from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a full day of interactive displays, give-a-ways and vehicle displays and opportunities to connect with staff on key program and service areas, such as:

  • fire safety
  • Centennial and downtown events
  • jobs and recruitment
  • diversity, equity and inclusion
  • waste collection and diversion programs
  • recreation programs
  • pet adoption and fostering programs
  • cycling trail networks and active transportation opportunities
  • municipal by-law and licensing services

Family favourite Sparky the Fire Dog will also be making appearances throughout the day and some of the unique vehicles in the City of Oshawa’s fleet, including the electric-powered Boomer Buggy (which performs sidewalk inspections across the city) will be on display.

Visitors can also take photos in the Parks garden display and at a 100+ selfie booth.
