High winds, wind chills and up to 10 cm of snow for Oshawa, Durham
Published December 4, 2024 at 12:27 pm
Durham Region residents should be prepared to bundle up tonight when temperatures with the wind-chill hit a very chilly minus 11 degrees.
There should be plenty of snow on the ground as well, as the light snow falling in Oshawa and the rest of Durham’s Lake Ontario communities today will continue into the evening, with as much as 10 centimetres on the ground by nightfall.
Blowing snow will also be an issue, with winds gusting at more than 60 km/hr through the day.
Freezing is a potential concern tonight as the snow changes to mixed precipitation after dinner, with temperatures hitting plus two.
Some wet snow is expected Thursday.
