Home burglarized in Pickering when owner steps out for an hour

A home in Pickering was burglarized when the homeowner stepped out for an hour on Tuesday morning.
The owner of the home on Whites Rd. and Bayfield St., located in a subdivision just north of Hwy 401, left the house around 11 a.m. on May 9. They returned an hour later, only to find their home had been broken into.
An unknown number of people had broken in and stolen a variety of items. No one was hurt during the break-in, and the family dog escaped unharmed.
