Homeowner struck with ‘taser’ after violent armed home invasion in Courtice

The search is on for two males connected to a violent armed home invasion in Courtice last Friday (July 5).

Durham Regional Police responded to calls of a home invasion that had just taken place around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Lawson Road and Townline Road North.

“Two unknown males entered the home and physically assaulted the homeowners, striking one of the victims multiple times with a taser,” allege police.

The motive for the home invasion is not clear at this time.

Suspect No. 1 is described as being a white male who is six-foot-two and 190-pounds. He was wearing all black.

Suspect No. 2 is described as being a male who was wearing all black.

Investigators are asking the public for any security or dash cam footage near the intersection of Lawson Road and Townline Road North during the hours surrounding the home invasion.
