A two-bedroom home backing onto a city park in Oshawa was the most affordable home sold in the GTA this month, according to real estate company Zoocasa.

The home at 171 Nassau Street, which backs onto Brick-by-Brick Park, just south of downtown, sold August 23 – just three days after listing – for $565,000.

The recently renovated home has a large main level, a formal dining area, a kitchen with new quartz countertops (which opens to a spacious back deck), and perhaps best of all, no rear neighbours.

At #5 on the list is another Durham Region property, this one a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home at 100 Rotherglen Road in Ajax that sold August 16 for $775,000, $26,000 over asking.

The home features upgraded appliances, a recently renovated kitchen (with quartz countertops, tile backsplash, pot lighting, under cabinet lighting, pot drawers and a Lazy Susan) and a finished basement. Hickory flooring is found throughout the home and the basement has a large rec room, bathroom, and laundry and an additional room that can be used as an office.

Numbers #2 and #3 on the most affordable list were both in Brampton while #4 was a 2-bedroom home in Toronto that sold for $755,000.

The most expensive home sold in the GTA in August was a stunning 5-bedroom, 9-bath mansion in Toronto’s prestigious Bridle Path neighbourhood that sold for $10.4 million. Right behind was a palatial estate in Oakville that sold for $10.3 million.
