UPDATE: Inappropriately sexual conversation with minors prompts search for man in Clarington

Update June 27: The suspect has been identified following two days of investigation. Police have requested the removal of his picture. The investigation remains ongoing and the man has not been formally charged with any crime.

Original story follows:

A search is underway for a suspect who allegedly engaged in an inappropriately sexual conversation with a pair of teenagers on a Clarington walking trail.

The boys were walking through the forest behind the Courtice Community Complex at 2950 Courtice Road shortly after 8 p.m. on June 17. During their walk, they encountered an unidentified man.

Durham Police allege the man engaged in a highly sexualized conversation with the boys and alluded to his own sex life. The boys managed to leave the area and called the cops. They weren’t physically hurt in the interaction.

Investigators describe the suspect as a 50 to 60-year-old white man wearing a black baseball cap, a blue t-shirt, beige cargo pants, and black and white shoes.
