Investigation into Claremont B & E leads to recovery of $120,000 in landscape equipment

Investigators looking for stolen landscaping equipment after a break and enter at a rural property in Claremont over the weekend hit the jackpot after executing two search warrants about five kilometres apart

On Monday, July 25, 2022, at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of West Division responded to a break and enter at a yard on Old Brock Road in Claremont. The suspects had broken into the yard and stole a truck, trailer and lawnmower equipment. Officers attended quickly and located one of the suspects and the stolen truck and trailer.

That evening investigators executed two search warrants, one on Sideline 20 and another on Sideline 12. Police recovered more than $120,000 in equipment and tools during the execution of the search warrants.

Nicole Lewis, 40, of Stouffville is charged with theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. She was released on an Undertaking.
