The Cold War returns this weekend for ARMAGEDDON, the final Tank Saturday of the year at the Canadian Tank Museum in Oshawa.

The season finale event showcases the largest and most powerful tanks of the Cold War and is always a fan favourite, with a live simulated tank battle between two main battle tanks of the era.

Visitors can also tour the museum that takes you through more than 150 years of Canadian military history from the Fenian Raids of 1866 to the conflicts of today and enter the Hanger and see more than 50 machines on display at the Military Vehicle Conservation Centre.

Vehicle rides (extra cost) are available on a Leopard 1A5 battle tank, a M113 APC and a M548 ‘Battle Bus’. The doors open at 10 a.m., with the tank battle scheduled for 1 p.m.

Tank Saturday visitors can also meet Sofilein, a Youtuber, livestreamer, friend of the National Museum of Military History in Sofia, Bulgaria and a self-professed tank dork, who will be there to talk about Steel Aces, an historically accurate tank shooter video game.

Tickets are $20 for adults, with kids (11 and under), seniors and students $10. Vets and cadets are free.
