Durham Region reported just three new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, with all three coming from Pickering.
It was the second straight zero new case day for Oshawa, the third straight for Clarington, the fourth straight for Scugog and Brock and the fifth straight day without a new case of the virus in Uxbridge.
The number of active cases in the region stands at 77 and for the second straight 24-hour period, Durham’s hospitals are COVID-free.
All positive tests among residents of long-term care homes have been resolved as well but there remains one workplace outbreak.
There are 13 active cases of the virus at public schools in Durham – with six closed classrooms – and five students at Durham’s catholic schools have also tested positive for the virus.
