Knifepoint sweater robbery in Oshawa ends in charges for teen boy

A 16-year-old Oshawa teen is facing charges in connection with a knifepoint robbery in the city.
Durham police allege that around 4 p.m. on July 15, a teenage boy approached another youth in the King Street West and Stevenson Road North area, brandished a knife and demanded his sweater.
Police say the suspect took the sweater and fled on foot before being captured by officers nearby. He was taken into custody without incident.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries, according to police.
The suspect has been charged with robbery and was released on an undertaking.
