Limited parking at Ajax town hall for two weeks amid roadwork

The Ajax town hall parking lot will be shut down for two weeks amid a repaving.
The lot will shut down on June 3 until June 14, depending on weather conditions. During this time, the town will rip up old asphalt and repave the lot.
The affected lot is Stage C of the repaving process. This lot is around the rear of the building by the King Crescent entrance. As a result, this entrance will be inaccessible and three drive lanes will also be cut off.
Access will still be open on the north side of the parking lot with access from Achilles Road. Pedestrian traffic will still be permitted into town hall and the library.
“We request that staff avoid parking or entering Stage C of the parking lot during the closure,” the town wrote, “Motorists and pedestrians are advised to take all necessary precautions in the parking lot and to avoid any areas that have been blocked off for construction.”
The work schedule is as follows;
- Asphalt Removal – June 3 to June 5
- Grading – June 6 to June 10
- Paving – June 11 to June 12
- Line Painting – June 13
