Durham Police say they initiated the stop just before 2 a.m. Monday near Brock St. N. and Wallace Drive. While speaking with the driver, officers observed an open container of liquor near the driver’s seat. The gun was seized and the 37-year-old, a Whitby resident, was taken into custody without incident.
