Loaded pistol found in Ajax traffic stop, police claim

Durham Regional Police report the discovery of a loaded handgun during a traffic stop in Ajax yesterday.

Officers were on patrol in Ajax on June 12 when they spotted a car with no brake lights near Westney Rd. and Rossland Rd. shortly before 8 p.m. The officer pulled the car over and upon closer investigation decided to search the car.

During the search, the driver allegedly tried to flee on foot but he was quickly arrested. Police claim he had a loaded pistol on him.

Maceo Senior, 24 of Ajax, has been charged with four firearm offences.
