With the holidays in full swing, regional powers within Durham are highlighting the importance of shopping locally.
From Dec. 1 to Dec. 7, the “Shop in Durham Week” initiative will be an active player for both in-person and online engagement when it comes to local retail.
Launched by Durham Tourism, the program encourages all local shoppers — and visitors— to tag their go-to holiday gift spots on social media in an effort to raise awareness and boost the holiday economy around small businesses throughout Durham Region.
