London, Oshawa most affordable homes sold in April; Toronto, Whitchurch most expensive

A 2-bedroom condo in London and a studio apartment in north Oshawa topped the list for most affordable homes sold in southern Ontario last month, while a fully furnished penthouse apartment in downtown Toronto and a country estate in rural Whitchurch-Stouffville went 1-2 for most expensive homes, according to real estate brokerage Zoocasa.
The London condo on Hamilton Road sold for just $237,000 while the studio apartment in a student building at 1900 Simcoe St. N – which is also where all five of the most affordable homes in the GTA currently for sale are – sold April 20 for $286,000.
A 3-bedroom semi-detached home on Concession Street in Kingston ($325,000) was third.
The priciest home sold in April was a 4-bedroom apartment in the sky on Morrison Street in Toronto’s fashion district ($4,125,000), followed by a spectacular 3-storey custom home just east of Hwy 404 on Woodbine Avenue in the village of Gormley that boasts four bedrooms and six bathrooms, 22-foot ceilings, an elevator and parking for 11 ($3,950,000).
Number three was a Tuscan-inspired home in on Indian Road in Burlington that sold for $3,525,000.
